I can't believe I haven't got round to telling you about this: New Dance Orchestra have a new album out called "Electronica".

New Dance Orchestra is a project of Geoff Downes (Asia/Buggles) but is more pop/dance oriented than anything you might hear from the former. Lead vocals on every track come from Anne-Marie Helder of Panic Room. I picked up a copy at the Robin2 in Bilston in December and I have to say its a fine album. Favourite track at the moment is "Love Is Not Enough".

Gerry Rafferty

I received a text this evening from a friend to say that the singer-songwriter Gerry Rafferty had died. I didn't want to believe it but sadly it turned out to be true. I knew he had not been well recently but it still came as a shock. Such a great talent and really sad news...
