Pete Bennett - Pete is my mate on myspace. His debut single 'Cosmonaut' is released on 4th March 2008. He doesn't have a major record label backing him so he's having to do it the old fashioned way - by gigging and by word of mouth. He's a good bloke and I hope its a success for him. So this is me, doing my word of mouth thing and supporting Pete by posting a link to his video here:

I've kept a journal on and off since 1974 and this week I've been reading the journals of Anais Nin on the way to and from work, something that I've been meaning to do for some time. It's a very articulate, insightful, rich, detailed and thoughtful book. It's a book that has given me a LOT of food for thought this week and made me re-evaluate a few things...

Anyway - It's the weekend. So let's kick off with a few videos.
AC/DC - Let There Be Rock (Promotional Video)
"A prime cut of classic rock from the Bon Scott-era. I've been to some churches that would really get their knickers in a twist about this song and this video. I don't share their views though. I think this is great...."
Status Quo - Someone Show Me Home (Promotional Video)
"Album track from the 1978 'If You Can't Stand The Heat' album. I've always rather liked this one"
Dollar - Videotheque (TOTP 1/7/1982)
"Another one of those You Tube 'Holy Grails'. This is the first TOTP version of this track. I hadn't seen this for 26 years! It brought back some nice memories"
Act - Absolutely Immune (Promotional Video)
"In between the magnificent Propaganda and the promising One Two came Act: Claudia Brucken & Thomas Leer. History has not been kind to them and they seem to have been largely overlooked, which is a shame because they had some good tunes - of which this was one"
Telex - En Route (Promotional Video)
"Or 'En Route Vers De Nouvelles Adventures' to give it its full title! Taken from Telex's 1980 album 'Neurovision' and part of my ongoing commitment to bringing you obscure Telex clips!"
...And Introducing
Here's a couple of video clips from bands you may not be familiar with.
Blackmore's Night - Shadow Of The Moon
"A wonderful band featuring the guitar skills of Richie Blackmore and the vocals of the beautiful Candice Night"
Pure Reason Revolution - The Intention Craft
"The mighty Revolution in full flow"
