http://www.loveroflifesingerofsongs.com/Finally, there is a lavish party at London's Dominion Theatre on 5th September incorporating a special performance of "We Will Rock You". Invites have been extended those who would have been on Freddie's personal guest list and the whole thing is fancy dress! All proceeds from the evening are going to the Mercury Phoenix Trust - so if you can get a ticket then it promises to be quite a night!
If you can't make that then there is a slightly less lavish celebration being run by the International Queen Fan Club at...er... The Shed in Brierley Hill on September 9th. Live music, Queen Tribute Bands, disco, raffle, videos, fancy dress, bar, restaurant etc running from 2 in the afternoon till 10.30. Tickets are £15 if you're in the Fan Club and £20 if you're not.
Slade - The first batch of CD reissues for Slade are out this month. Some confusion over whether it will be 7th or 21st August. Further details, including bonus tracks, can be found here...

Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights (Promotional Video - Version2)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfGc4wcil2g&search=kate%20bushHappy birthday to Kate last Sunday! Most people have seen the promotional video for this song but there were in fact two. This is the rarely seen alternative version filmed over Cannock Chase (or not).
ELO - Shine A Little Love (Promotional Video - Version 2)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXAP76U4sAcAnother alternative promotional video. There was the Mike Mansfield version shot for the "Discovery" Video Album...and then there's this...
Genesis - Land Of Confusion (Promotional Video)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBdUz_IJ4VASadly the lyrics to this are just as relevant as when this song was released 20 years ago - perhaps more so. A superb (and very funny) video that offsets quite a serious message.
Olivia Newton-John - Magic (Midnight Special 1980)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sXLkKflnisSlightly wobbly picture quality but a great clip of the utterly gorgeous Livvy.
Garbage - Push It (Promotional Video)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-CHEnJ7gncI saw Garbage at Wolves Civic a few years ago. They opened the show with an awesome version of this track, which bristled with intensity and menace and damn near tore the roof off !! The video is a strange, surreal and compelling beastie with some strangely disturbing images...
And a final word...
